Where the Idea Began
HankSquatch Designs started with a simple observation: the world is obsessed with Bigfoot—but always in the same way. Shaky “found footage,” people pretending to be terrified in the woods, dramatic TV reenactments, and over-the-top monster calls. Everywhere you look, Sasquatch is treated like something to fear.
But that never sat right with me.
I found myself wondering: What if Bigfoot were real, and what if everyone had him all wrong? What if he wasn’t a monster hiding in the shadows, but a kind, gentle soul who simply wanted to be understood? And what if he had friends—other cryptids who were just as unique, just as misunderstood, and just as full of heart?
Those questions became the seed of something bigger.
Reimagining the Myth
Instead of leaning into fear, I wanted to flip the script. I imagined a Sasquatch who wasn’t lurking in the dark but stepping into the light—confident, warm, and full of positivity. A character who could stand as a symbol for everyone who’s ever felt different, overlooked, or out of place.
That character became HankSquatch.
He’s not here to scare anyone. He’s here to remind people that being different isn’t just okay—it’s beautiful.

HankSquatch Designs grew from that idea into a brand with a clear purpose:

My goal is to take these playful “what ifs” and turn them into something meaningful—apparel that celebrates individuality, inclusion, and the beauty of being different.
